Galatians 6:8-9
“For he who sows to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he who sows to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not” Galatians 6:8-9 [Many say we should not spiritualise all the Scriptures, and yet we are spirit beings, who have a soul and live in a body. It is this body that the Lord also says through Paul, “is the temple of the Holy Spirit”, yet we believe that when the Lord speaks of sowing in this passage He is talking only of spiritual things, but I beg to differ. WHATSOEVER some translations say, and for me that is a better word to use, as whatsoever I sow, I will reap. When I sow to satisfy my flesh, this passage says I will reap corruption, but when I sow to the Spirit (capitalised, which means it is talking of God’s Spirit in me, I will reap life everlasting. We have a responsibility to not only care for our spiritual walk with our God, but also our physical walk!]
