Galatians 6:8-9

For he who sows to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he who sows to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not” Galatians 6:8-9 [Many say we should not spiritualise all the Scriptures, and yet we are spirit beings, who have a soul and live in a body. It is this body that the Lord also says through Paul, “is the temple of the Holy Spirit”, yet we believe that when the Lord speaks of sowing in this passage He is talking only of spiritual things, but I beg to differ. WHATSOEVER some translations say, and for me that is a better word to use, as whatsoever I sow, I will reap. When I sow to satisfy my flesh, this passage says I will reap corruption, but when I sow to the Spirit (capitalised, which means it is talking of God’s Spirit in me, I will reap life everlasting. We have a responsibility to not only care for our spiritual walk with our God, but also our physical walk!]

Proverbs 18:8

The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly” Proverbs 18:8 [The Amplified says, “He who is loose and slack in his work is brother to him who is a destroyer and he who does not use his endeavours to heal himself is brother to him who commits suicide”. The above Scripture says that the wounds inflicted by talebearing affects the health of the people who are being spoken about, and it is a reminder of the Scripture in Peter where the Lord warns about suffering because of talebearing. The Word also says that we should not bring false witness against our neighbour, so what does this mean? Well, from my perspective, it means that words hurt very deeply, and affects our walk with people and the Lord!]
