EDITOR: We are quick to say that we should not judge people by what they wear or what they do, but this Scripture clearly claims that we are know by our fruit, which means that my outward lifestyle is what is going on inside of me, e.g. rebellion, insecurity, etc! Doesn’t the Word say, “What the heart is full of, the mouth (lifestyle), will overflow with”?

3. HOME REMEDY HINT FOR THE WEEK: CRACKED HEALS
I received a whole 31 pages of old tips from a friend a while back and one night I just could not sleep so I sat reading through them and found this interesting tip for solving cracked heals. Mix candle wax and paraffin 50/50, rub on in the morning and in the evening especially in summer when wearing open sandals, it works very well!
EDITOR: I remember as a child my grandmother also had a miracle remedy for cracked hands, elbows and heals, but don’t remember the ingredients. What a pity that all these old remedies often die with the people who used them with great benefit to them and their families! If any of you have any of these old remedies, please feel free to share them with us so that others can benefit from them as well!

4. HOUSEHOLD HINT FOR THE WEEK: CLEANING JEWELRY
To clean jewelry soak overnight in a mixture of Bicarbonate of Soda and vinegar, and if necessary lightly brush with an old soft toothbrush. This removes all dirt without damaging stones, gold or silver. Pearls should not be soaked overnight, only for an hour!
EDITOR: For years now I have been using vinegar only as a rinsing or cleaning agent as it is not good for our bodies to ingest vinegar, unless it is raw apple cider vinegar, so it is always interesting to see all the household benefits of vinegar!

6. ARTICLE FOR THE WEEK: DROWNING IN SODA: AMERICA'S HEALTH PROBLEMS MADE FAR WORSE BY MASSIVE SODA CONSUMPTIONby David Gutierrez
The booming popularity of sugary soft drinks has led to 6,000 more deaths, 14,000 more cases of heart disease and 130,000 new cases of diabetes in the past 10 years, according to a study conducted by researchers from the University of California-San Francisco and presented at the annual Cardiovascular Disease Epidemiology and Prevention conference of the American Heart Association.
"We can demonstrate an association between daily consumption of sugared beverages and diabetes risk," researcher Litsa Lambrakos said. "We can then translate this information into estimates of the current diabetes and cardiovascular disease that can be attributed to the rise in consumption of these drinks."
The researchers found that sugary soft drinks also contributed to the loss of 21,000 life-years, plus an increase of 50,000 in the life-years spent suffering from heart disease.
"We probably underestimated the incidence, because the rise is greatest among the young, and our model focuses on adults 35 and older," researcher Kirsten Bibbins-Domingo said.
The analysis included juices with sugar added but excluded 100% juice.
"Juice from fruit itself is nutrient-rich, and its nutritional value goes beyond the carbohydrate content," said Robert H Eckel of the University of Colorado, a former president of the American Heart Association.
The findings may build new support for the growing push for a soda tax. According to policy experts, a tax of just one cent per ounce would reduce soda consumption by 10%.
"The reason why there is a current debate about a tax is that scientific evidence in populations has consistently shown that more than one drink a day increases your risk," Bibbins-Domingo said.
"The finding suggests that any kind of policy that reduces consumption might have a dramatic health benefit."
A single serving of soda or other sweetened soft drink contains between 120 and 200 calories of sugar, equivalent to a man's recommended intake for a full day and exceeding the recommended daily intake for a woman.
EDITOR’S NOTE: As you all know, Colin and I have been speaking about and submitting articles to the health tip now for years regarding refined sugar, and more and more evidence is coming to light showing that it is dangerous for our health, whether young or old!

7. RECIPE FOR THE WEEK: SPROUTED GRAIN CRISPS
Raw crackers can be made by using any grain, such as wheat, rye, oats, rice, millet or barley. An example would be:
¼ – ½ cup Rye
1 ½ - 1 ¾ cup Wheat Berries
3 cups Distilled Water
Put the above ingredients in a bowl and soak overnight (about 12 hours). Drain the water, reserving the soak water for use later (do not refrigerate). Place drained grains on a paper towel placed in the bottom of a bowl, cover with a towel and allow to sprout for about 12 hours. When the sprouts are ready, assemble:
1 cup Sprouted Grains
1 cup ‘soak’ Water
1 tbsp Dehydrated Onions
1 tsp Dill Weed
1 tsp Caraway Seeds
1 tsp Celtic Sea Salt
Put the above ingredients in a blender and blend until a creamy consistency is reached. Then pour a thin layer onto a plastic dehydrator tray and dehydrate until crisp. (Make sure all moisture has dried before removing from dehydrator tray.) Enjoy with your favorite salad, use as a snack food, or you can make delicious mini-sandwiches by spreading with ripe avocado topped with a dehydrated tomato. These grain-crisps will keep for months in a tightly-sealed container. Note: You can vary the flavor by changing grains, herbs and seasonings. A sweet grain-crisp can be made by adding a ripe banana and pitted dates or raisins to the grains while in the blender. The sweet grain-crisps take longer to dehydrate.

My heart is so grateful to the Lord for the sales of Obedience and even though it is not going as fast as I would like to, I know that every single book that is sold will touch the life of somebody somewhere who needs this word!

Praise God the next two books are ready for publication (cover to the right)! God is so good to me! I am also working on redoing the first book I wrote, under a revised title (cover to the right) and need all the prayers I can get for these books to be published and distributed. I never thought that I would enjoy writing as much as I do, and the ideas for new books are spinning around my head like wild fire, with many of the ideas starting to take shape, but without the influence of the Lord and my heavenly family, I will not be able to continue!
